Dead Cool… Just one of the stranger kind… One of the coolest bands that emerged on the contemporary goth/dark/new wave scene during the recent pandemic. Formed in 2020 by Johnny and Angela Yeagher and based in North Carolina, USA, this duo has taken the goth world by storm with their uplifting tunes, catchy choruses and 80’s synth sound. Along with some interesting videos and many spooky shows after three years on the scene, this duo has attracted a wide fanbase from around the globe, youngsters in particular… Just one of the stranger kind…
Dead Cool… London… Saturday 30th December 2023… Slimelight… NNYE Party… The Electrowerkz… After the success of Dead Cool’s debut appearance at Slimelight back in May 2023 the duo returned to the UK for yet another captivating show for the London goth crowd. Johnny and Angela took to the stage of Slimelight’s Dark Room for the second time around midnight, much to the crowds delight, and delivered an uplifting show once again.. Tunes like ‘Until Death’, ‘Nothing But Us’, the super goth hit ‘Stranger Kind’ and their fabulous cover version of the 80s hit ‘Send Me An Angel’ were just a few that were played and kept the young crowd dancing throughout the show. A memorable show once again that was very reminiscent of the good old days of the 80s… Dominant synth sounds, clear vocals, lots of smoke around the stage and many flamboyant youngsters moving to the uplifting melodies… A Slimelight NNYE Party that will be remembered… The London Blitz Kids would have been proud… Just one of the stranger kind… By Tzina Dovve (DJ Lady Davinia)…
