Then Comes Silence… Strange kicks of another kind… One of the finest contemporary alternative bands to emerge on the dark/post punk scene over a decade ago… Based in Stockholm, Sweden and now recently becoming a trio ( Alex Svenson, Hugo Zombie and Jonas Fransson ), after seven album/ep releases these guys have taken the goth/alternative world by storm with their catchy tunes, creative videos and endless uplifting shows… Strange kicks of another kind… Then Comes Silence…

London… Saturday January 13th 2024… Reptile Club… The fourth and last stop for these guys on their short UK mini-tour 2024… After Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol, Alex and the gang were back in London for yet another great show… Joined by fellow Swedes and friends Agent Side Grinder on this mini tour it definitely got 2024 off to a great music start… The exceptional venue 229 hosted the band this time round in London with a very welcoming atmosphere and an afterparty held in their name… Many fans, both older and newer, from around the UK and not only were anticipating this very night after this mini tour was announced some months ago…

Then Comes Silence did not disappoint… The Swedes walked onto 229’s spacious stage a little after Agent Side Grinder’s exceptional performance where Alex joined the lads on stage for a couple of tunes on bass.. (Alex participated on the band’s latest album ‘Jack Vegas’ released in 2023) .. The raw power and energy that Then Comes Silence have live was evident from the very first notes of their opening track ‘Tickets To Funerals’… Hugo’s punchy guitar riffs, Alex’s dusky vocals and Jonas’s powerful and solid drum beats were dominant on all their tunes and kept the crowd moving throughout their smashing set… Highlights of their show, if one can choose, ‘Apocalyse Flare’, ‘Good Friday’, ‘She Loves The Night’, ‘Strange Kicks’, ‘Dark End’ and of course the classic and well-known dark hit ‘Strangers’… At the end of yet another uplifting show the London crowd was left in awe once again and wanting more… After a short encore the Swedes left the stage and joined their fans at the afterparty where they mingled and danced til the wee hours of the morning… A great night to remember for all indeed and a successful U.K mini-tour 2024… Bravo boys… Until next time… The dead cry for no-one… By Tzina Dovve (DJ Lady Davinia) …
