DJ Fitzpatrick and DJ Templar started spinning and co-promoting at the Saphire Lounge for two short run monthly weekday events. These 2 events were their first parties as promoters and they were called Halo and Hell (both in 2000). Both parties featured gothic rock, new wave and some industrial. DJ Fitzpatrick was a specialist in New Wave music.
Absolution has a rule about new DJs needing to have their own DJ credit in order to spin at the event, so after Halo and Hell, DJ Fitzpatrick and DJ Templar were allowed to spin at Absolution for the original multi-DJ NYC goth scene event.
DJ Fitzpatrick spun at Absolution at The Limelight and at CBGB‘s.
