Teenage Werewolves… A cure for your cramps… A tribute act born from the ashes of Lux Interior and Poison Ivy in New Mexico U.S.A. back in 2010… With countless shows from LA’s Viper Room to London’s 100 Club and an international line-up, this act is most definitely the best Cramps tribute to this day… A cure for your cramps…

After almost two years of neverending madness with lockdowns, semi-openings, re-lockdowns, restrictions, border closures, and the list goes on and on, this crazy clan never gave up and managed to do a lengthy 12 day UK tour during August this year. A cure for your cramps… After 3 attempts and cancellations during 2020 and early 2021 the persistent Gary Woodhouse of ‘Mutant Movement Promotions’ managed to book 12 cities across England and pulled it off in a way no-one would have imagined was possible in these unstable and insane times we are living in and what a fantastic job he did. From L.A. to London where goth meets glam meets rockabilly meets a little burlesque, this tour was a crazy rollercoaster ride and success by far… Stay sick tour 2021…

‘Teenage Werewolves’ were on the prowl again after their first taste of the UK with their first tour back in 2019, pre-covid days… Only this time they had their very own support act ‘She’s In Bauhaus’. Two tribute bands that stand out and shine when they walk on stage. Frontman Jack Atlantis accompanied by Billy Miles Brooke on rhythm guitar, Harrison Wonderland on bass, Chris Clark on drums and the exceptionally talented young lady Jess Furneaux on lead guitar took England by storm.. Lets not forget the sexy Kitten De Ville and Moana Santana who took the shows to a different level.. Raunchiness to sensuality to pure rock and roll.. It’s all here… A cure for your cramps…

August 12th .. Debut night for this tour sees the band arrive in Grimbsy on a Thursday night at the impressive venue ‘Docks Academy’. A venue that offers both professionalism and warm hospitality. A very welcoming atmosphere to start a 12 day tour… Stay sick tour 2021.. ‘She’s In Bauhaus’ enter the stage around 8:30 pm to a very enthusiastic crowd. A crowd awaiting in anticipation as to what will follow.. Mr. Jack Atlantis does not disappoint walking through the crowd in dark glasses and a black velvet cape singing a few lines of Pete Murphy’s ‘Strange Kind Of Love’ before slipping into the Bauhaus anthem ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’… From ‘Dark Entries’ to ‘Passion Of Lovers’ to ‘Kick In The Eye’ to ‘She’s In Parties… All the Bauhaus classics were played with passion and panache… Over 45 minutes of pure energy the set slowly came to a halt with the band’s version of ‘No Big Deal’ by Love And Rockets and the classic ‘Ziggy Stardust’ by the one and only thin white duke…

Before too long ‘Teenage Werewolves’ are on stage again opening up with the all-time classic Cramps hit ‘Human Fly’… All band members in different attire from leopard and zebra prints to wigs to black catsuits to bikini girls with machine guns… Lux Interior and Poison Ivy would have been proud… An entertaining show with Kitten and Moana on and off stage keeping the crowd dancing and wanting more… From ‘Goo Goo Muck’ to ‘Garbage Man’ to ‘Tear It Up’. A crescendo of guitars by Poison Ivy played by Jess and banging drums by cheeky Chris along with the superb vocals of Jack the band did not miss a beat.. Over an hour of rock and roll the way it should be these loonies leave the stage leaving the crowd in awe and those naysayers that would normally pooh hooh the idea of tribute acts were expressing their joy and amazement… What a thoroughly entertaining evening it was.. A great way to start a 12 day tour… A cure for your cramps..

Moving onto Leeds, Newcastle, Stockton, Manchester, Liverpool, Wolverhampton and Bristol each show was an experience of its own… Each city a new adventure for this lot to explore… Every night a music memory… Eager crowds dancing and cheering and losing themselves in the music blaring from the stage… ‘Teenages Werewolves’ and ‘She’s In Bauhaus’ played their role with no compromise leaving a sense of satisfaction in the air every night… A cure for your cramps…

Highlight of this tour was the sold out show at London’s famous ‘100 Club’… Friday August 20th… A screaming crowd was eagerly awaiting these prowlers of the night to walk onto the legendary stage.. ‘Teenage Werewolves’ were in London once again.. Miss Poison Ivy ( Jess Furneaux ) displayed poise and expertise in her rendition of rockabilly guitar Poison Ivy style held together by the consummate showmanship of Billy Miles Brooke topped off by the electrifying frontman Jack Atlantis… A solid rhythm section full of cheeky buggers and lets not forget the dancing girls keeping the crowd fully entertained… This was an outstanding sold out show that will leave Londoners talking about for a long time to come..

Leaving London these prowlers move onto Derby, Southampton and then to their last destination, Brighton… The stay sick tour is nearly over… August 23rd …A Monday night… ‘The Green Door Store’ was the last venue to accommodate this lot… A cosy venue with a relatively small stage, but with a true rock and roll atmosphere… Both ‘She’s in Bauhaus’ and ‘Teenage Werewolves’ gave another outstanding performance with highlight of the evening the girls trying to drag Jack off the stage with his black velvet cape James Brown style… at the end of the show. This man was determined to stay but as it goes all great things must come to an end… For one last time the band mingled with the crowd and relaxed as their mission was complete.. A sense of satisfaction was in the air…

After 12 exceptional shows the tour was finally complete… Stay Sick Tour 2021… Every single show was one of a kind and 100% showmanship.. This bunch did not disappoint… Despite hard curfews which seem to be the bane of the live music scene nowadays, quick changeovers and little time to unwind these prowlers never lost their spirit for a single moment.. The show must go on… A pleasure travelling with these amazing people and introducing the shows each night… An honour for me, DJ Lady Davinia, to be a part of this 12 day tour. Probably the most successful tour across the UK during 2021… The rollercoaster ride is not over yet.. These prowlers will be back… A cure for your cramps… Stay Sick Tour 2021… By Tzina Dovve ( DJ Lady Davinia )…
