“This is an attempt to cover the underground goth scene from 1982 – 2026/7, Leeds, Whitby and London are generally seen as the homes of Goth, However from the early 80’s – 00’s Nottingham was a huge Hub for the Gothic culture, With clubs packing 1000’s in Rock City coming from all over the country, to many, many smaller goth nights, with some the most influential UK underground bands originating from here, there was also Nightbreed recordings, which expanded further UK Goth bands around the world.
I just simply want there to be a central place or resource for this to be remembered and how it is still ongoing here, and show others that your scene is what you make it and it can take a few people to change everything for the good.
Additionally maybe give Nottingham the recognition it deserves among the other “Goth cities” as most outside of the midlands, have simply forgotten or never knew how big the scene has been and still is here.
