New Music Journalism Book includes the History of the NYC goth scene

New York Rock, Steven Blush's new book
DJ Jason, Alchemy, The Bank, Absolution and so much more is in this great new book on the history of NYC music and nightlife, by the esteemed rock journalist Steven Blush (owner of Seconds magazine US and the author of many top selling music books, including American Hardcore).
It’s actually pretty amazing that something so special and prosperous in NYC has been overlooked by journalists for so long.  It’s good that the goth scene’s glorious NYC past is finally getting some respect from the music history establishment, (especially since it was the largest functioning goth/alternative scene in the world at the time)!  Many thanks to Steven Blush for putting this history in print.

I am glad that someone from the music establishment got around to writing about all of the awesome events that happened back then. Steven (and George from Seconds) went to all the events too, so it’s from a great source, unlike the usual awful newspaper and TV type of clueless journalism that we’ve seen over the last 30+ years.
